Richard'Hyker' LaRiviere,

resides in Florida USA and is a founder of the MOMPT museum.

He acquired his first camera at age 15 while in high school in Lowell, Ma. USA. It was a super 8mm and he was hooked.  Hyker studies with the Boston Film - Video Foundation and sold his first documentary work to CKSH TV, Qubec, Canada in December 1976 with his partner at Can-Am Press Harvey Champagne.  This time he used an Ikegami Video camera with a special c-mount tv lens he acquired from his electronic surplus store (Verada 214, 1976-84).  The recording was on a 3/4 inch Umatic deck with Quasar monitor.  Over the years interest in media work and the collection grew.

Hyker now has a production company, Never Nominated Pictures, is on the board of directors of the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association (FMPTA.org) and has the Guinness book of records 'Worlds Largest Movie Camera Collection, soon to be included on this website.
